Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating 4x10 hours Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 2+ years of experience preferred License: South Carolina license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT or RCIS (registered or in process) Must-Have: Cath Lab experience Proficient in coronary diagnostic/intervention scrub and monitor Description: Position specialty is Cath Lab Tech. The shift consists of rotating 4x10 hour day shifts, typically running from 07:00 to 17:30 and 09:30 to 20:00. Shifts may vary as team members remain until procedures are completed. All team members rotate their shifts weekly, ensuring consistency in scheduling. The daily caseload per tech is typically 20-25 cases per day across 4 to 5 labs, with 2-3 CVTs per lab. On-call requirements include one weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) every seven weeks and an evening shift during the week. Holidays may require additional coverage as needed. No floating between service lines is required. Candidates must have experience in cath lab procedures, including coronary diagnostics and interventions. Proficiency in monitoring and various catheterization techniques is essential. A radiation badge is required, which must be provided by the agency. All candidates must adhere to a local radius rule, generally allowing those outside a 60-mile radius to be prioritized. Additional responsibilities may include responding to emergency situations as assigned during hurricane season.
