Night Auditor (Hotel) — $13.00/hr

Job Type: Full-time
Location: Spartanburg SC
Pay: $13.00 per hour
Schedule: Overnight shift 11p to 7a

About the Role

As a Night Auditor, you will help ensure the hotel’s nightly financials and front-desk records are accurate and complete. You’ll balance reports, verify transactions, assist guests when needed, and help maintain smooth operations while working independently during the night.

Key Responsibilities

• Audit nightly revenue by reviewing and reconciling daily reports and front desk transactions.
• Balance hotel accounts (e.g., room charges, taxes, refunds, incidentals) to ensure totals match system records.
• Post and verify payments and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.
• Prepare audit reports at end of shift and ensure they are submitted to management as required.
• Check guests in and out as needed, including responding to inquiries and resolving simple issues.
• Monitor hotel operations during the overnight shift (front desk activity, phone calls, and general guest requests).
• Maintain accurate records in reservation and property management systems (PMS).
• Communicate shift updates to the next shift team, including issues, late check-outs, maintenance needs, and important guest matters.
• Handle basic guest concerns professionally and escalate complex issues to management when necessary.
• Follow hotel security and cash-handling procedures to protect property and guest information.

Qualifications

• Prior hotel or front desk experience preferred but not required (willingness to learn is important).
• Ability to work independently overnight and stay alert and organized.
• Strong attention to detail and comfort with basic accounting/reconciliation tasks.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with reservation systems/POS (training can be provided).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stand/walk as needed and lift light items (if required).
• Must be available to work overnight hours, including weekends and holidays (as scheduled).

Physical / Work Conditions (Optional)

• Works primarily indoors in the front desk/audit area.
• Overnight schedule may affect sleep patterns; shift work required.
